# Corrections and updates

When we get something wrong, we fix it, say what changed and keep the record. Nothing is quietly edited.

Our policy

## How corrections work

Correction

We got a fact wrong. We fix it and note on the page what was wrong.

Update

A fact changed after publication, such as new hours. We update it and date the change.

Clarification

What we wrote was accurate but could mislead. We reword it and note why.

Response time

Every report is reviewed within five working days.

Businesses can’t pay to have criticism removed. If a business disagrees with our judgment rather than a fact, we’ll hear them out.
